Dr. Jeffrey Schiappa was born and raised in the Chicago area, and maintains his practice in the south suburbs. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1979, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 1983, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schiappa completed post-graduate training in 1984 through an internship at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. From 1984 through 1986, he fulfilled his residency in Family Practice at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schiappa became certified through the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practitioners in 1987; when he opened his private practice. Dr. Schiappa fulfills annual continuing education requirements; and he frequently facilitates education for nurse practitioners and interns.


With over 20 years of experience working in this community, Dr. Schiappa has built personal relationships with hundreds of patients and families; and his practice is always growing. He is a respected member of the Palos Community Hospital staff, and he is committed to the highest quality medical care.


Dr. Schiappa lives in the community with his wife Lynda; four children: Cortney, J.J., Rebecca, Joe; two dogs; and two cats. He enjoys gardening, attending church, exercising, traveling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
